Deadgood vs Mr.Jago at 'Launch' exhibition [Design Event 07]
Deadgood vs Mr.Jago brings two pioneering creative forces together to create a fresh range of furniture which fuse art and design together.
Mr. Jago is considered by many as a veteran of the urban arts scene, having worked with some of the biggest brands around including Volkswagen, Puma and Nike. Deadgood recently collaborated with the artist for the Design Event 07 where he applied his pioneering 'doodle' style of illustration to their award winning Form: Stool.
The series of hand painted products were recently unveiled at Deadgood's own regional design exhibition 'Launch', alongside a one off installation by the artist himself.
Deadgood are currently working closely with Mr. Jago to develop his drawings into a digital format and create a limited edition collection of furniture to be released early in the New Year. Directors Dan Ziglam and Elliot Brook hope that this unique project will form the basis of a series of collaborations with some of the world's leading urban artists.
Elliot comments, "The relationship between the art and design worlds really interests us, not only do we have a personal interest in this style of graphic art but we're also interested in the crossover appeal between the genres. We're really excited about how this project is developing and aim to try and bring the design industry and the urban art movement together."
Deadgood furniture and Mr.Jago artwork will soon be available to buy on the Evoke Art & Design shop
