Bookmarking, is simply saving the address of a Web site you wish to visit in the future on your computer.
Social bookmarking is the same, except instead of saving the bookmark to your local computer, the bookmark is saved remotely at a public website. Social bookmarking also invlolves “tagging” saved items with keywords.
These keywords can then help yourself and others to find other, related or relevant bookmarks and information. It also means you can access your bookmarks from any computer connected to the internet and also share your bookmarks with your friends.
Anyone can participate in social bookmarking as long as they have a web browser and an internet connection.
First, you need to sign up to one of the 3rd party sites which offer social bookmarking services.
Evoke natively supports the following services currently in news articles:
if you feel there is a service missed out which you would like to see, please feel free to contact us
Once you've signed up to a supported service, you can simply click the services icon from the tools at the bottom of the article. A new window or tab will open and the page's url, title and description will be completed for you to save.
